9. Mirio Togata Struggled to Control His Quirk Since Childhood
When Mirio Togata was still a child, his father once told him that the Permeation Quirk was incredibly difficult to control. Even a single mistake could cause his body to split in two. This was the very reason Mirio’s father, who also had a similar Quirk, gave up on his dream of becoming a hero at a young age. However, because young Mirio was determined to become a hero and willing to work hard to master his Quirk, his father promised to support him wholeheartedly.
Even when Mirio first enrolled at U.A. High School and was asked to demonstrate his Quirk, he had not yet fully mastered it. At that time, he was asked to phase through a wooden wall. However, when he attempted it, only his hands managed to pass through, while his face and body slammed hard against the wall.
As a result of the incident, Mirio was laughed at by his classmates. However, he remained calm and explained to them that his Quirk was indeed extremely difficult to control—even five times harder than they could ever imagine.
