10. Baryon Mode

During Naruto’s battle against Isshiki, his primary goal was to prevent Isshiki from implanting Karma on Kawaki’s body. Although Naruto had already activated his Kyūbi Mode, it still wasn’t enough to overpower Isshiki. In the heat of the battle, Isshiki attacked Naruto with two giant cubes, crushing his upper and lower body.

Seeing Naruto’s unwavering resolve to fight until death and feeling sympathy for his near-death condition, Kurama offered Naruto the ultimate weapon of a Bijū Jinchūriki. With this power, Naruto managed to escape the crushing cubes and transformed into Baryon Mode.

Naruto’s Baryon Mode transformation was marked by a red chakra cloak shaped like a Bijū, complete with nine tails behind him. Black markings resembling Kurama’s facial patterns adorned his face and ears. His body was enveloped in a bright red chakra aura, and his pupils took on Kurama’s signature appearance.

#Abilities of Naruto’s Baryon Mode:

a. Drastic Power Boost

In Baryon Mode, Naruto’s power increased significantly by consuming energy that drained Kurama’s life force until his death. To ensure the mode lasted as long as possible, Naruto had to avoid unnecessary movements or distractions.

b. Tail Manipulation for Offense and Defense

Naruto could manipulate his tails to grab or hurl the giant cubes Isshiki hurled at him. He was also able to catch Isshiki’s black rods effortlessly—something even Sasuke, with his Sharingan, struggled to do due to the rods’ rapid movements. Additionally, Naruto’s Baryon Mode tails could halt Isshiki’s charges and ensnare his body.

c. Incredible Speed and Strength

The speed of Naruto’s attacks in Baryon Mode was nearly impossible for Isshiki to evade or block. Naruto could also easily dodge and destroy Isshiki’s black rod attacks.

d. Fearsome Fatal Ability

The most terrifying aspect of Baryon Mode wasn’t just its immense power, but its fatal effect on enemies. If an opponent was touched by Baryon Mode, their lifespan would be drained. According to the principle that chakra serves as the life energy of all living beings, anyone touched by Baryon Mode would lose their life force gradually.

An example of this is Isshiki, whose lifespan was drastically reduced, causing him to cough up blood. Initially, Isshiki had 20 hours of life remaining, but after being struck by Baryon Mode, his remaining time shrank to just 5 minutes.

e. Naruto’s Great Sacrifice

Using an immense power like Baryon Mode, which even surpassed 100 percent of Isshiki Ōtsutsuki’s strength, did not come without consequences. Naruto had to pay a heavy price by losing Kurama, the nine-tailed Bijū who had been his greatest source of strength. Kurama and Naruto had been together since Naruto’s birth, and their bond had grown so deep that they saw each other as brothers.

Kurama offered Baryon Mode knowing that Naruto had resolved to fight Isshiki to the death. From the start, Kurama never explicitly said that Naruto would die from using Baryon Mode. Instead, he asked if Naruto was prepared to die, leading Naruto to believe that both of them would perish.

As a result, Naruto confidently used Baryon Mode. However, if he had known from the beginning that only Kurama’s life would be sacrificed, he likely would have refused to use this power.

Now, Kurama is no more.

Farewell, Kurama. You will always be remembered.
