5. Itachi Uchiha vs Kurenai

When Itachi and Kisame infiltrated the Hidden Leaf Village, Kurenai and Asuma intercepted their path. This led to a confrontation: Itachi versus Kurenai and Kisame versus Asuma.

Kurenai used her Genjutsu Technique to make her body gradually vanish. However, Itachi had already anticipated Kurenai’s Genjutsu. Before her body completely disappeared, Itachi locked eyes with her using his Sharingan.

Suddenly, a tree trunk appeared behind Itachi, and its roots wrapped around his body to immobilize him. Kurenai then emerged from the tree trunk, with the upper half of her body hovering above Itachi’s head. Meanwhile, Itachi simply tilted his head upward, staring at Kurenai.

Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Kurenai quickly attempted to stab Itachi with a kunai to end his life. However, in the blink of an eye, the situation reversed. The tree roots suddenly ensnared Kurenai’s body, rendering her immobile—just as Itachi had been. Itachi stood before her and calmly declared that her Genjutsu wouldn’t work on him.

Itachi then readied his kunai to stab Kurenai, who was trapped. However, Kurenai bit her lip until it bled, breaking free from Itachi’s Genjutsu and dodging his strike just in time. Despite her escape, Itachi landed a kick that sent Kurenai flying into the river.
