2. Konohamaru Disguises Himself as Naruto During the Hokage Inauguration

On the day of the Seventh Hokage inauguration in Konoha, Kakashi, as the Sixth Hokage, prepared to announce his retirement and officially appoint Naruto as his successor. However, an issue arose when the entire village had already gathered to welcome their new Hokage, yet Naruto, who was supposed to be inaugurated as the Seventh Hokage, had not arrived at the location.

The reason for Naruto’s delay was a quarrel between Boruto and Himawari. Himawari wanted to bring her favorite stuffed toy to the ceremony, but Boruto forbade her. Boruto was worried that if Himawari got tired, she would ask him to carry the toy, which would be embarrassing for him to be seen holding a stuffed bear in front of everyone during the Hokage inauguration.

The argument escalated when Boruto pulled the stuffed bear’s leg while Himawari pulled its head. As a result, Himawari’s beloved toy was torn apart. Filled with anger, Himawari unconsciously activated her Byakugan for the first time.

Naruto, noticing the commotion, rushed over to his children. He found Boruto sprawled in fear, while Himawari, with her Byakugan active for the first time, targeted Boruto’s tenketsu and prepared to strike with her Juken. As Himawari launched her attack, Naruto quickly shielded Boruto with his body. Consequently, Himawari’s Juken hit Naruto’s stomach, causing him and Kurama to collapse and lose consciousness.

Meanwhile, at the inauguration site, Hinata arrived and met Shikamaru, Konohamaru, and Kakashi. She was surprised to learn that Naruto and the children had not arrived yet. Hinata then handed over the Seventh Hokage’s robe to Konohamaru before hurrying home to check on her family.

With the ceremony about to start and the villagers eagerly waiting, Shikamaru and Kakashi grew increasingly anxious over Naruto’s absence. In a moment of urgency, Shikamaru suggested that Konohamaru disguise himself as Naruto to save the situation. Without hesitation, Konohamaru used the Henge no Jutsu to transform into Naruto and donned the Seventh Hokage’s robe.

In Naruto’s form, Konohamaru was then officially inaugurated as the new Hokage by Kakashi. With confidence, he greeted the crowd, repeatedly thanking them while waving to the gathered villagers, ensuring that everyone believed the inauguration went off without a hitch.
