During his time as a student at Konoha Academy, Boruto often caused trouble. On his very first day at school, Boruto already caused a commotion by destroying the Hokage’s face monument. As a result, he had to face punishment in the form of a two-week suspension.
Although he was labeled a troublemaker, his antics were still within the scope of typical childhood mischief and not as serious as Naruto’s past actions, such as stealing the secret scroll. However, there were some moments when Boruto’s actions almost endangered the lives of others.
Here are 3 moments when Boruto nearly put someone’s life in danger.
1. Boruto Nearly Endangered Metal Lee
Shino, who served as the instructor, was teaching his students how to throw shuriken. Since the academy students were still beginner shinobi, Shino gave a warning to be cautious when using shuriken to avoid injuring themselves or their classmates.
The students were very excited to throw shuriken. Some missed their targets, while others hit them perfectly, one of whom was Metal. Although Metal’s previous throws were perfect, his nervousness suddenly kicked in when Shikadai and Inojin started watching him, causing his throw to go off target.
As Metal walked to retrieve the shuriken embedded in the target, Boruto suddenly appeared, running toward the target and throwing a fuuma shuriken. Instead of dodging, Metal underestimated Boruto’s throw, assuming it wouldn’t be accurate. However, the stares from his friends made Metal’s nervousness return, shaking his confidence.
As a result, Metal’s Konoha Senpu kick technique failed. The kick that was supposed to deflect the fuuma shuriken ended up getting his leg caught, sending his body flying along with the fuuma shuriken until he crashed into the wooden target.
Fuuma shuriken, being a large-sized shuriken, should not have been used by academy students. Even though Boruto’s reckless act nearly endangered Metal’s life, fortunately, Metal was not seriously injured.
