2. Naruto Wins a Bet Against Tsunade

After Jiraiya and Naruto accidentally met Tsunade at a sake bar, Jiraiya conveyed a message from the village elders, Homura and Koharu, offering Tsunade the position of Fifth Hokage. However, to Tsunade, becoming Hokage was a foolish duty meant for people like Yondaime Minato and Sandaime Hiruzen, who sacrificed their lives to protect the Village of Konoha.

Naruto, overhearing her words, became enraged, believing that Tsunade had insulted Minato and Hiruzen. This led to a fight outside the bar between Tsunade and Naruto. In that brief clash, Tsunade flicked her finger and sent Naruto flying.

After learning that Jiraiya was teaching Naruto the Rasengan, Tsunade challenged Naruto to a bet. If Naruto could master the Rasengan within a week, Tsunade would acknowledge that Naruto was worthy of becoming Hokage and give him the First Hokage Hashirama’s heirloom necklace.

Initially, Naruto wasn’t interested in the necklace. However, when Jiraiya told him that the necklace was valuable enough to buy three mountains, Naruto became instantly motivated. Jiraiya was once again stunned by Naruto’s nature, who was willing to do anything for money.

But the bet came with another condition. Tsunade confiscated Naruto’s wallet, which was filled with his lottery winnings. If Naruto failed to master the Rasengan in a week, Tsunade would keep the wallet. Tsunade had never gambled with Hashirama’s heirloom necklace before, but she was confident that Naruto wouldn’t succeed in mastering the Rasengan.

Meanwhile, Tsunade was briefly tempted by Orochimaru’s offer during their first meeting. Orochimaru promised to bring back Tsunade’s two dearest loved ones—her brother Nawaki and her lover Dan—if she agreed to heal his damaged arms. However, Orochimaru also revealed that once his arms were healed, he would resume his attack on the Village of Konoha.

During their second meeting, Orochimaru believed Tsunade would heal his arms. However, Kabuto quickly realized that Tsunade intended to harm Orochimaru and tried to stop her.

A battle ensued between Tsunade and Kabuto, who fought to protect Orochimaru. Tsunade initially gained the upper hand, but Kabuto exploited her weakness—her fear of blood. By splashing his blood toward Tsunade, Kabuto paralyzed her with fear as the sight of blood left her shaken.

Seeing Tsunade helpless, Naruto stepped in to fight Kabuto in her place. Standing in front of Tsunade to shield her, Naruto created a Shadow Clone to assist him.

During the fight, Kabuto managed to stab Naruto’s hand with a kunai. However, Naruto took advantage of the situation by grabbing Kabuto’s hand tightly, preventing him from moving freely. With the help of his Shadow Clone, Naruto finally succeeded in mastering the Rasengan. With all his strength, Naruto struck Kabuto with the Rasengan, sending him flying.

In the end, Naruto won the bet against Tsunade, mastering the Rasengan within a week. As a reward, Naruto received the First Hokage Hashirama’s heirloom necklace from Tsunade—and he also got a bonus: a kiss on the forehead from Tsunade.
