2. Denji Was Only Given Two Choices: Win or Die

As a Devil who had become a member of the Public Safety Devil Hunters, Denji and Power were bound by strict rules that required them to serve until the end of their lives. If they decided to leave the organization, they would be hunted down by the Public Safety Bureau. Additionally, Denji and Power were part of Division 4, a special experimental unit. This unit was under immense pressure, as failure to show results would lead to its immediate disbandment by the higher-ups.

After undergoing daily combat training with Kishibe, Denji and Power’s abilities improved significantly. Kishibe even acknowledged that their attack movements had become nearly flawless.

However, Kishibe didn’t stop there. He advised Denji and Power to constantly sharpen their minds during battle, stay aware of their surroundings, and make full use of any available weapons. Seeing their progress, Kishibe decided to reduce the training sessions to once a week, as he believed that was sufficient.

Following this, Kishibe instructed Denji and Power to apply all the lessons they had learned in real combat. As members of Division 4, they were assigned a crucial mission: to capture Katana Man and Sawatari Akane. However, the risks they faced were enormous. If Division 4 failed to complete this mission, the unit would be disbanded.

#2 The Second Reason Chainsaw Man Defeated Katana Man:

Denji was only given two options: win or die. Denji understood that if he failed to capture Katana Man, he wouldn’t just lose his job as a Public Safety Devil Hunter—he would also be hunted by the very organization he served. Even Kishibe, his own mentor, would eliminate him and Power due to their Devil status. This looming threat forced Denji to push himself to his absolute limit in order to defeat Katana Man and secure his fate.
