3. Denji Was Not Prepared to Fight Against Katana Man
While Denji was enjoying a bowl of ramen with Power, Aki, and Himeno, Katana Man happened to sit at a nearby table. As he ate his ramen, Katana Man grumbled about how the ramen tasted bland, while Power and Denji cheerfully claimed that theirs was delicious.
Even though Katana Man seemed to be speaking to himself, every word he uttered felt like a veiled jab aimed at Denji. He then began telling a story about his grandfather, who was a Yakuza boss. He described his grandfather as a kind-hearted man who often took him to luxurious restaurants and bought him anything he wanted using money from his illegal businesses.
To drive his point home, Katana Man showed Denji a childhood photo of him with his grandfather. Without warning, Katana Man suddenly fired a pistol at Denji, causing him to collapse instantly with a bullet lodged in his forehead. Afterward, Katana Man began shooting recklessly at Power, Aki, and Himeno.
#3 The third reason Chainsaw Man lost to Katana Man:
Denji was completely unprepared for a fight. His only reason for coming to the restaurant was to relax and have fun with his Division 4 teammates, while Katana Man arrived with the sole intention of exacting revenge. Katana Man had meticulously prepared himself, including bringing a firearm, giving him a significant advantage in this situation.
