5. Mitsuki’s Curiosity About Why Boruto Calls Hanabi “Big Sister”
The story begins with Boruto’s confusion about what gift to give his grandfather, Hiashi Hyuga, for his birthday. To figure out what his grandfather likes, Boruto invites Mitsuki to sneak into the Hyuga Clan’s main house, hoping to find some clues. However, their attempt to infiltrate the house is quickly discovered by Hanabi.
Instead of getting angry, Hanabi invites Boruto and Mitsuki inside without Hiashi knowing. She serves them food and drinks while sarcastically commenting on their foolish attempt to sneak into the Hyuga Clan’s house, home to users of the Byakugan.
As Boruto and Hanabi chat about gift ideas for Hiashi, Mitsuki suddenly voices his curiosity. He asks Hanabi about something that’s been bothering him. According to Mitsuki, Hanabi is Boruto’s aunt, but he doesn’t understand why Boruto always calls Hanabi “big sister.”
Mitsuki’s question leaves Boruto in a panic. However, Hanabi simply gives a cold smile. She then firmly responds to Mitsuki, saying that she truly is Boruto’s big sister.
