One of the reasons Shino became a teacher at the academy was to repay a debt of gratitude. Since childhood, Shino had struggled with communication. However, despite this, young Shino didn’t become a loner at the academy. It was all thanks to his encounters with many kind friends during his time as a student.
For Shino, his friendships at the academy saved his life and helped him form lasting connections. This is why he decided to become a teacher. However, the path he chose wasn’t as smooth as he had imagined. Shino was entrusted with the responsibility of being the homeroom teacher for a class full of mischievous students.
Here are 5 misfortunes Shino experienced during his time as an academy teacher:
1. His Words Were Ignored by the Students
Several moments highlight how Shino, as the homeroom teacher, struggled to get his students to listen during lessons.
# Shuriken Lesson
It started when Shino was teaching his class how to throw shuriken. Even though the students were still beginners, Shino, as an aspiring shinobi mentor, was ready to guide them. He warned the students to be careful when using shuriken so they wouldn’t hurt themselves or their classmates. However, the students didn’t listen to his explanation until the end. In fact, Shino was almost hit by shuriken thrown by his own students.
# Kuchiyose no Jutsu Lesson
During this session, Shino was accompanied by Konohamaru to teach the academy students about Kuchiyose no Jutsu. Konohamaru summoned his summoning creature, a frog named Gamagoro. The students were amazed by Konohamaru’s successful summoning.
Shino then explained to the students that they were still too early in their training to summon animals. He suggested that they start by summoning ninja tools instead.
To demonstrate, Shino summoned a ninja tool in the form of a sword. However, the students didn’t seem interested in his demonstration and failed to listen to the end of his explanation. They were already obsessed with the idea of summoning creatures like Konohamaru did.
# Academy Graduation Exam
The issue began when Denki struggled to climb a cliff using chakra on his feet. Boruto and his friends approached Denki and gave him tips on how to focus his chakra. However, Denki still couldn’t get the hang of it, and the explanations from his friends only made him more confused.
Denki felt frustrated because it was the first time he had trouble passing an exam, whereas he usually excelled at school tasks. He was afraid of failing the test and didn’t want to repeat a grade like Iwabe had.
Denki’s worries about failing the exam were overheard by all the students, including Iwabe. Shino then tried to calm the anxious students. However, once again, the students didn’t listen to Shino’s explanation until the end. They were too fixated on Denki’s concerns and were terrified at the thought of repeating a grade like Iwabe.
