3. Hyuga Neji

When Naruto faced Neji in the final round of the Konoha Village Chūnin Exams, he relied on Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to evenly distribute his chakra among his clones. This strategy made it difficult for Neji’s Byakugan to identify the real Naruto.

However, despite launching a group assault with his shadow clones, none of Naruto’s attacks managed to hit Neji. With extraordinary skill, Neji easily wiped out all of Naruto’s shadow clones. Naruto was astonished by Neji’s prowess, as if Neji had eyes on the back of his head.

During the battle, Neji belittled Naruto’s dream of becoming Hokage. Based on his Byakugan’s observations, Neji concluded that Naruto’s abilities did not reflect someone worthy of holding the title of Hokage.

According to Neji, the Hokage title could not be attained through hard work alone. He believed that becoming Hokage was a fate reserved only for those born with special advantages. Neji then declared to Naruto his belief that the only fate shared by all people is death.
