2. Boro, The Master of Deception

Boro uses various cunning methods and deceitful tactics to achieve his goals.

Code once taunted Boro by asking, “Do you enjoy tricking people?” Boro, enraged, replied, “Watch your mouth, Code. I’m not tricking them!”

# The Savior Scheme

With the help of his Ninja Scientific Tools, Boro spreads a black mist over a village, infecting its residents with a virus. As a result, the plague spreads, causing symptoms such as coughing, difficulty breathing, and fever.

The villagers, having lost faith in doctors due to ineffective treatments that only drained their money, chose to isolate themselves in their homes. When they did venture outside, they wore masks to avoid inhaling the black mist that enveloped the village and caused infections.

In this situation, Boro took advantage of the villagers’ fear and desperation. He entered the village, offering “healing” through the antibodies in his own body. The villagers who were cured were astonished and began to believe in Boro as their savior.

Boro then rallied the villagers with speeches, convincing them to join the cult he led. He persuaded them to revere him as the cult leader and a savior from the corrupt world. In truth, Boro was the one spreading the virus and simultaneously acting as the “cure” with his vaccine. His ultimate goal was to recruit people into the Otsutsuki cult.

For Boro, his virus was a “miracle” that could guide people toward salvation.

Note:

Inside the Otsutsuki cult’s temple, there is a machine in the basement used to produce and perfect the virus. This room also serves as the place where Boro replenishes the virus within his body.

# The Otsutsuki Cult Modus Operandi

Boro is the leader of the Otsutsuki cult, headquartered at a temple located on the border of the five great nations. This temple serves as a home for Boro’s followers, most of whom come from tragic backgrounds, such as losing loved ones or suffering from severe illnesses.

Before joining the Otsutsuki cult, the followers shared similar stories: they endured serious diseases until they met Boro, who “healed” them.

Like a religious ritual, Boro often delivered sermons to instill faith in his followers. His presence was welcomed with great enthusiasm, creating a sacred atmosphere in the temple. In his speeches, Boro claimed to want to save all souls, regardless of wealth or social status.

Boro also consistently emphasized that the world is “garbage,” filled with suffering and injustice. He blamed the rulers, whom he accused of failing to provide help. As a solution, Boro offered the “light of Otsutsuki” through the surrender of one’s soul to Mugen Tsukuyomi, which he described as the path to salvation.

In his sermons, Boro frequently recounted the story of the Otsutsuki goddess Kaguya who descended to Earth. During her time, he claimed that all people experienced eternal peace by surrendering their souls to become one with the Shinju Tree. However, that peace was destroyed due to the actions of shinobi from the five great nations, who killed Kaguya and two other gods, Otsutsuki Momoshiki and Kinshiki.

Boro asserted that the shinobi falsified history and labeled Mugen Tsukuyomi as a disaster. To justify their wrongdoings, the shinobi fabricated lies for their own gain. Even so, Boro reassured his followers not to worry, as he promised that the Otsutsuki gods would not abandon their cult in times of hardship. He also claimed that another god, whom he frequently encountered, was still watching over them.

Boro presented himself as a savior of the world and a helper to those who had lost hope through the Otsutsuki cult. In reality, Boro was merely using his followers as tools to gather human test subjects.

Boro especially deceived young children in the cult by sending them on missions to “meet the gods.” In truth, he conducted human experiments to find suitable “vessels.” The Mugen Tsukuyomi, which he preached as a path to nirvana, was, in reality, a path to the world’s destruction.

# Miracle Modus

In leading the Otsutsuki cult, Boro had a female assistant named Inori. She was deeply devoted to the teachings of Mugen Tsukuyomi and served as Boro’s companion, especially during visits to plague-stricken villages or when guiding new followers.

In the past, Inori had almost lost all hope due to an illness that seemed incurable. However, she eventually “recovered” after following Mugen Tsukuyomi’s teachings under Boro’s guidance.

One day, Inori’s brother, who was a shinobi, stormed into the Otsutsuki cult’s temple to bring her home after she had been gone for two years. He warned Inori that Boro was a fraud and told her that he had found a doctor who could cure her illness.

However, Inori rejected her brother’s offer and asked him to leave. Shortly after, Boro appeared. Inori’s brother, fed up with Boro’s deceit, accused him of tricking people with false stories about meeting a god. Calmly, Boro responded that he had indeed met a god and received a miracle—a body that could not be destroyed. He even challenged Inori’s brother to prove his claims.

Inori’s brother then attacked Boro with the Water Blade Jutsu, successfully slicing Boro’s body in half. However, Boro’s body quickly reattached itself, leaving the brother shocked and terrified.

Boro claimed that his regeneration ability was a miracle from the gods. In truth, Boro’s body had been modified by Amado using Ninja Science Technology. This modification enabled Boro to regenerate rapidly from head to toe.
