6. Boruto Possesses the Traits of a Great Shinobi
When Shino trained the Academy students to work in teams of three, their objective was to overcome various obstacles within a set time limit. During the exercise, each team raced to reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
However, Boruto’s team failed to reach the finish line in time. Despite being fast enough to arrive at the finish line on his own, Boruto chose to help his teammate, Denki, who was struggling to climb the obstacle wall. Together with Mitsuki, Boruto assisted Denki until he successfully overcame the obstacle.
After the training ended, Shino informed all the students that every team had failed. Although many teams managed to reach the finish line before the time ran out, they were still declared failed because they didn’t cross the finish line as a complete team of three.
This incident demonstrated that Boruto already possessed the qualities of a great shinobi. His actions align with the teachings of Obito Uchiha to Kakashi, which were inspired by Kakashi’s father, Sakumo Hatake: “A shinobi who abandons the mission is scum, but a shinobi who abandons their comrades is worse than scum.” — Obito Uchiha
This value of prioritizing comrades over the mission was passed down by Kakashi to Team 7—Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura—and has since been instilled in the next generation, including Uzumaki Boruto and his friends.
