2. Leaving the Dinner
On one occasion, Boruto invited Mitsuki over for dinner at his house. Knowing that Boruto would bring a friend, Hinata and Himawari prepared a delicious meal. They also informed Boruto that Naruto would be coming home early and joining them for dinner. Deep inside, Boruto was happy to hear that news, although he acted indifferent and didn’t show his true feelings.
When Naruto arrived home, he got ready to eat with them. Naruto even admitted that lately, he had only been eating instant noodles and had been longing for Hinata’s cooking. However, just as Naruto was about to start eating, his clone at the Hokage’s office received a report from Shikamaru about strange chakra disturbances in the village.
Naruto quickly apologized to Hinata as he had to leave to resolve the issue. Feeling disappointed, Boruto slammed his hand on the dining table and asked, “Why does it always have to be you?” Naruto explained that as Hokage, if someone in the village needed his help, he had to act immediately, as the entire village was family to the Hokage.
Hearing this explanation, Boruto became even more upset and stormed out of the house.
