4. Not Attending Boruto’s Birthday

On Boruto’s birthday, a party was held at his house, attended by Mitsuki, Sakura, and Sarada. Himawari then brought out a birthday cake for Boruto, while Hinata mentioned that Naruto would be arriving soon.

Hearing that, Sarada remarked that Boruto must be happy. Although Boruto was secretly hoping for his father’s arrival, he told Sarada that whether his father showed up or not, it wouldn’t change anything.

However, after all the food had been eaten and only one slice of the birthday cake remained, Naruto still hadn’t arrived. Boruto began to feel really upset because deep down, he truly wanted his father to come. Then, Hinata received a call informing her that Naruto couldn’t come home due to urgent work.

Upon hearing the news, Boruto looked very disappointed and chose to lock himself in his room. Sarada, standing outside his door, tried to comfort him by saying, “Maybe the Hokage is dealing with an emergency he can’t leave.”

But all Boruto could say to Sarada was:

“That stupid dad of mine is always like that, right? Well, I didn’t expect anything from him anyway. The ever-busy Lord Hokage would never have time to come to his own family’s birthday party.”
