6. Breaking His Promise to Boruto

Before her birthday, Himawari marked the calendar to ensure Naruto would see it and adjust his work schedule so he could be present on her special day. Although Boruto told Himawari not to care whether Naruto showed up or not, she still hoped her father would be there. Boruto even offered to invite many of their friends, but Himawari only wanted Naruto’s presence.

Boruto eventually promised Himawari that Naruto would be home for her birthday. He then approached Naruto, saying that he didn’t mind if his “stupid dad” missed his own birthday. However, in exchange, Boruto asked Naruto to promise to be there for Himawari’s birthday, as his little sister really wanted her father to be there. Boruto warned that if Naruto broke this promise, he wouldn’t forgive him.

However, when Boruto realized that the Naruto who showed up at Himawari’s birthday was just a shadow clone, his anger boiled over. To Boruto, Naruto had broken his promise. Filled with rage, Boruto stormed toward the Hokage’s office, intending to confront his father. However, his fury was stopped by Sasuke.
