7. Sakura as a Burden for Not Wanting to Be a Burden to Naruto and Sasuke

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Obito and Madara successfully revived the Ten-Tails (Juubi) to battle the Allied Shinobi Forces of the Five Great Nations. The Ten-Tails was controlled through connecting cables linked directly to Madara and Obito, enabling them to fully command the giant beast’s movements.

However, the coordinated efforts of the Allied Shinobi Forces severed the cables, disconnecting the Ten-Tails from Madara and Obito. This caused the Ten-Tails to go berserk, unleashing immense power and attacking indiscriminately.

Thanks to Naruto transferring Kurama’s chakra to the Allied Shinobi Forces, no lives were lost despite the devastating Tenpenchii Jutsu unleashed by the Ten-Tails. Unfortunately, Naruto sustained severe injuries from the attack and required healing from Sakura. Additionally, Kurama needed time to replenish its chakra. Without Naruto and Kurama’s chakra cloak, the Allied Shinobi Forces became pessimistic about their chances against the Ten-Tails.

Fortune, however, favored the Allied Shinobi Forces. The four deceased Hokage of Konoha—Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato—arrived to assist after being resurrected by Orochimaru through Edo Tensei. The four Hokage collaborated to counter the Ten-Tails. Using the Ninpou Shisekiyoujin technique, they created a massive barrier to contain the Ten-Tails, while Hashirama added the Senpou Myoujinmon technique to immobilize its movements.

In addition to the Hokage’s arrival, Sasuke joined the fight to support the Allied Shinobi Forces. This reunion of Team 7 brought Sasuke back together with Naruto and Sakura. Naruto thanked Sakura for healing him and urged her to rest while he and Sasuke joined the Hokage to confront the Ten-Tails.

However, Sakura, determined not to be seen as a burden by Naruto and Sasuke anymore, declared her intent to fight alongside them. With steadfast resolve, she volunteered to join the battle, eager to prove her strength as an equal student of the Three Legendary Sannin. She vowed to demonstrate her abilities to Naruto and Sasuke, proving she was no longer someone who relied solely on their protection.

Hashirama then created an opening in the barrier, allowing the Allied Shinobi Forces to attack the restrained Ten-Tails. The beast, however, displayed extraordinary abilities by splitting parts of its body to spawn an army of Ten-Tails monsters, ready to engage the Allied Forces. Team 7—Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura—led the charge against the Ten-Tails’ monstrous army.

Amidst the battle, Sakura recalled her time with Team 7 as Genin. Back then, she often hid behind Naruto and Sasuke, who risked their lives to protect her. Ashamed of her past self and her reliance on them, Sakura resolved to fight on the frontlines this time, shielding Naruto and Sasuke behind her.

Activating the Byakugou Seal on her forehead, Sakura unleashed a powerful Shannaro punch on the Ten-Tails’ monster army, showcasing her strength in front of Naruto and Sasuke. However, after her display of power, Sakura became momentarily careless, failing to notice two Ten-Tails monsters attacking her from behind.

Fortunately, Naruto and Sasuke acted swiftly to save Sakura. They unleashed their Rasen Shuriken and Kagutsuchi Jutsu, destroying the two Ten-Tails monsters and rescuing Sakura just in time.

# The Reason Sakura Becomes a Burden for Not Wanting to Be a Burden to Naruto and Sasuke

Sakura harbored a strong desire to no longer be a burden to Naruto and Sasuke. This determination led Sakura to become obsessed with showcasing her abilities in front of them, confident that she could protect Naruto and Sasuke.

After successfully delivering a Shannaro punch that took down several Juubi monsters, Sakura began to feel proud of herself, as if she had finally proven her capabilities to Naruto and Sasuke.

However, due to her lack of vigilance, Sakura let her guard down and was nearly struck by a fatal attack from two Juubi monsters. Ironically, despite her strong desire not to be a burden anymore, the situation repeated itself just like in the past. Naruto and Sasuke had to step in once again to save her, making Sakura appear as a burden to the team once more.
