During his time as a student at the Konoha Academy, Boruto was known as the most mischievous student. Almost every problem that occurred at the Academy always had Boruto’s name involved.

Boruto had committed various pranks, from defacing the Hokage Rock to causing damage to the school building. Even the female students often complained about his actions. Boruto was seen as the troublemaker responsible for their class being labeled as problematic.

Boruto’s mischief reminds us of Naruto, who was also notorious for causing chaos during his childhood. It’s no surprise that Konohamaru once joked that if being Hokage required causing trouble, Boruto would surpass Naruto by a mile.

Despite being known as a troublemaker, Boruto wasn’t a fool. On the contrary, he had a sharp mind and great potential to become an exceptional Shinobi in the future.

Here are 6 remarkable feats Boruto accomplished during his time at the Academy:

1. Boruto Underestimates the Academy Graduation Exam

While the other Academy students were busy training hard to prepare for the graduation exam, Boruto took it lightly. He still tried to invite his friends to play games as usual. However, his invitation was ignored because his friends were focused on preparing themselves to avoid failing the exam.

In the present era, the graduation exam at the Academy is divided into two types: a written exam and a practical exam. This differs from the old days when Academy students were only declared graduates if they could perform the Henge no Jutsu or create a Bunshin.

Boruto considered the old graduation requirements trivial since he had already mastered Kagebunshin and Henge no Jutsu. However, Boruto’s opinion was difficult for his friends like Shikadai, Inojin, Denki, and Iwabe to accept, as they had not yet fully mastered the Henge no Jutsu at that time.

Although the current graduation exam is more complex, involving both written and practical tests, Boruto’s habit of hanging out and playing games instead of practicing or studying like his friends did not stop him from successfully passing and becoming a Genin.

Note: Boruto could already use Kagebunshin even before entering the Academy. In his statement to Kakashi in Episode 36, Boruto revealed that he didn’t learn Kagebunshin from Naruto but figured it out on his own.
