3. Kawaki Tricks Isshiki with Kage Bunshin

While Kawaki was at home with Naruto, he was searching for broken pieces of a flower vase to repair it. Suddenly, the Karma in Kawaki’s body activated, and a dimensional portal appeared from his palm. From that portal, Jigen emerged to confront Kawaki. Naruto, determined to prevent Jigen from taking Kawaki, immediately prepared to fight him.

For Naruto’s safety, Kawaki initially agreed to leave with Jigen. However, Naruto insisted that, as the Hokage, it was his duty to protect all the people of Konoha, including Kawaki.

Frustrated by Naruto’s unwavering resolve, Jigen transported Naruto to another dimension, intending to leave him stranded there. Jigen then planned to return to Konoha to take Kawaki. However, before he could, Sasuke suddenly appeared and kicked Jigen. Together with Naruto, Sasuke was ready to battle Jigen in that dimension.

A fierce battle ensued between Sasuke, Naruto, and Jigen. Even though Sasuke and Naruto used their full powers, including Kurama’s Nine-Tails Transformation Mode and Perfect Susano’o, Jigen in his Ōtsutsuki form with Karma power proved far superior. He managed to defeat Naruto and Sasuke, leaving them battered and defeated.

After defeating them, the black disk on Jigen’s abdomen began to crack, indicating that his body needed repairs from Amado. Jigen also ran out of chakra and needed a ten-day recovery period to replenish his energy.

While Jigen was recovering, Kashin Koji took advantage of his weakened state and betrayed him, attacking Jigen when he was at his most vulnerable. During their battle, Kashin Koji cornered Jigen using the Eternal Natural Flames from Mount Kaen, burning Jigen to death. After Jigen’s body was destroyed, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki was resurrected from his remains, marking the beginning of a new, more dangerous threat.

After defeating Kashin Koji, Isshiki did not pursue him as he fled. Isshiki knew that Jigen’s body could not contain his immense power and that this limitation would only allow him to survive for two more days.

Isshiki then headed to Konoha to implant a new Karma on Kawaki. The previous Karma had disappeared after Isshiki reincarnated through Jigen’s body. By planting a new Karma, Isshiki hoped to reincarnate in Kawaki’s body, which could sustain his power.

To prevent Isshiki from implanting a new Karma on Kawaki, Konoha’s forces hid Kawaki in a location that Byakugan could not detect. Meanwhile, using his Karma power, Boruto transported Isshiki to another dimension along with him. Sasuke and Naruto followed, tracking Boruto’s chakra to the new dimension. Knowing Isshiki only had two days left to live, Naruto and Sasuke resolved to fight him to the end.

In this intense battle, Isshiki overpowered Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto. To match Isshiki’s power, Naruto sacrificed Kurama’s life and entered Baryon Mode. In this form, Naruto relentlessly pummeled Isshiki. Each of Naruto’s punches not only inflicted physical damage but also shortened Isshiki’s lifespan. From 20 hours, Isshiki’s remaining time plummeted to just 5 minutes after Naruto’s relentless blows.

However, just as Naruto had reduced Isshiki to near-defeat, the Baryon Mode’s power began to weaken. Isshiki seized this moment to counterattack. As he grabbed Naruto by the neck, Isshiki sensed Kawaki’s presence through the prosthetic arm Kawaki was using. Since the prosthetic arm was connected to Naruto’s chakra, Isshiki was able to transport Kawaki from Konoha to the other dimension using that chakra connection.

To buy time until Isshiki’s lifespan ran out before he could implant the new Karma, Kawaki followed Naruto’s orders to flee and hide. With his remaining moments ticking away, Isshiki grew frustrated as he failed to find Kawaki. Enraged, Isshiki stomped on Naruto’s chest and threatened to kill him unless Kawaki showed himself.

Moments later, Kawaki appeared to confront Isshiki. He attempted to strike Isshiki with a Fire Jutsu, but the attack was easily deflected. Isshiki then grabbed Kawaki and mocked him, declaring that Kawaki would never become a Shinobi. According to Isshiki, Kawaki was destined only to be his vessel and would eventually cease to exist.

However, Kawaki defiantly replied that Naruto had taken him in as a student because he saw his potential. Kawaki also revealed that Naruto had taught him many things, including the true meaning of life.

After successfully implanting the Karma onto Kawaki’s body, Isshiki reveled in his triumph and laughed victoriously, convinced that he would soon reincarnate in Kawaki’s body. But just as Isshiki’s body began to wither from his expiring lifespan, Kawaki’s body, now implanted with Karma, suddenly vanished.

Isshiki was bewildered and panicked. Moments later, the real Kawaki emerged and revealed that the Kawaki who had received the Karma was just a Kage Bunshin clone. Kawaki mocked Isshiki for being outwitted and stomped on Isshiki’s crumbling body. In the end, Isshiki disappeared forever.
