3. Kuon Wataru at Risk of Failing to Advance to Blue Lock’s Second Selection Stage
Although Kunigami managed to equal Kuon’s goal tally in Team Z, there was an interesting point to note. If Team Z failed to secure the second position in the Blue Lock standings due to a draw or a loss against Team V, the player who scored the most goals first would be chosen to advance to the second stage of the Blue Lock selection.
However, if there were two top scorers with the same number of goals on the same team, Blue Lock would consider the Fair Play Point to select the player who had not received any yellow or red cards.
Team Z was utterly shocked by Kuon’s controversial foul against Nagi, which resulted in Kuon being sent off with a red card. Ironically, Kuon should have been guaranteed a spot in the second selection stage, as he was the first top scorer in Team Z, despite Kunigami having the same number of goals.
However, fate took a different turn when Kuon received the red card, causing his Fair Play Points to be lower than Kunigami’s. If Team Z ended the match with a loss or a draw against Team V, it would no longer be Kuon but Kunigami who would advance to Blue Lock’s second selection stage from Team Z.
