The incident began when Naruto suddenly sneezed, accidentally spraying saliva onto Sakura’s face. Feeling disgusted, Sakura immediately punched Naruto in the face. Ironically, Sakura had initially come to assist Naruto with his mission. However, due to her annoyance, she decided to storm off and head home instead.
That night, while Naruto was fast asleep and enjoying a pleasant dream, he was abruptly awakened by the sound of shattering glass from his window. In an instant, his house was swarmed with medical personnel who invaded his home. The situation escalated when the medical staff even began shooting syringes in Naruto’s direction.
Fortunately, Naruto managed to dodge and escape from his house. Even so, he was still puzzled, wondering why he was being chased by the medical ninjas.
Here are four reasons why Naruto ended up being hunted by medical personnel:
1. Threat of a Contagious and Deadly Virus
This incident began when Tsunade and Shizune summoned Sakura to the Hokage’s Office. Tsunade noticed something unusual about Sakura’s face. Moments later, Sakura suddenly collapsed to the floor and developed a fever. When Shizune tried to approach her, Tsunade immediately stopped her.
Tsunade then asked Sakura, “Did someone sneeze on you?” In a semi-conscious state, Sakura answered that it was Naruto.
Sakura was quickly taken to the hospital to receive treatment and a sedative. Her symptoms included stomach pain, fever, and red spots appearing on her face. Based on Tsunade’s diagnosis, Sakura was infected with a disease known as the “Chakra Virus.”
The Chakra Virus is known to be highly contagious and extremely dangerous. This virus disrupts the chakra flow, causing fever. Once someone is infected, they won’t be able to gather chakra until they have fully recovered—a process that usually takes several months. For a shinobi, losing the ability to use chakra is a life-threatening condition.
