Uzumaki Boruto is a promising shinobi and the son of the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Even as an Academy student, Boruto had already mastered Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. He also consistently earned perfect scores in all subjects at the Academy, earning him the reputation of being a genius student.

Even when it came to causing trouble during his time at the Academy, Konohamaru acknowledged Boruto’s “talent” in that area. According to Konohamaru, if the benchmark for becoming a great Hokage was overcoming mischievous acts, then Boruto had the potential to become an even greater Hokage than Naruto.

However, despite being considered talented and a genius at the Academy, Boruto also had his flaws. One of them was his terrible drawing skills.

For instance, when Mitsuki and his fellow artificial human, Seikei, headed to Iwagakure, Seikei drew a picture of a house on the ground during their journey. When the tracking team, consisting of Shikamaru, Sarada, and Boruto, came across the drawing, Boruto immediately remarked that the house looked like something drawn by a child.

Sarada agreed with Boruto’s assessment that the drawing resembled a child’s scribble. However, she didn’t miss the opportunity to tease Boruto, saying that if Boruto had drawn it, the result wouldn’t look any better than a child’s drawing.

Despite his poor drawing skills, Boruto remained confident in his creations.

Here are 4 of Boruto’s Notoriously Bad Drawings:

1. Boruto’s Awful Drawing: Shino Possessed by Ghost

During the Ghost incident in Konoha Village, Boruto was the only person who could see it. This was thanks to his Jougan eye, which accidentally activated, allowing Boruto to see those who were being controlled by the Ghost shadow.

At that time, Shino Aburame, an Academy teacher, was possessed by the Ghost shadow and lost control of his body. Curious about how Boruto was able to tell who was possessed, Shikadai asked Boruto for an explanation.

To describe what he saw happening to Shino, Boruto attempted to illustrate the event on a piece of paper. However, upon seeing Boruto’s drawing, Shikadai was shocked—it was so bad that it fell far below expectations.
