5. Blue Lock’s Egoism Test
Inside Room Z, there were 12 participants, all positioned as strikers, including Kira and Isagi. Through a television screen, Ego announced that the 12 people in the room formed one team. He also revealed that each participant had been assigned a skill ranking, displayed on their sleeve, with Kira ranked 289 and Isagi ranked 299.
However, these rankings could increase or decrease based on their daily training and match performances. Ego also shared some good news: the top 5 ranked participants out of 300 would automatically secure spots as strikers for Japan’s U-20 national team in the World Cup. However, he also delivered bad news: any participant eliminated from Blue Lock would never be allowed to play for Japan’s national team again.
Ego then explained the first test in Blue Lock for Room Z. The rule was simple: the 12 participants would play a 2-minute game of tag with a ball. Whoever got hit by the ball would become the chaser, while the others had to avoid being hit. The participant who remained the chaser when the timer ran out would be immediately eliminated from Blue Lock.
Igaguri, who held the lowest rank at 300, was chosen as the first chaser in Room Z. After several failed attempts to hit someone with the ball, Igaguri aimed at Bachira, who was lying on the floor. However, Bachira quickly retaliated by kicking Igaguri in the face.
Kunigami scolded Bachira for his rough action, but instead of apologizing, Igaguri fired the ball at Kunigami’s face. Enraged, Kunigami tried to kick the ball back at Igaguri, but Igaguri used Isagi’s body as a shield. As a result, Isagi was hit hard in the stomach by Kunigami’s powerful shot.
6. The Brilliant Collaboration of Isagi Yoichi and Bachira Meguru to Eliminate Kira Ryosuke
In the final minute, Isagi was chosen as the chaser. However, he faced a significant challenge in targeting the ball at the other participants. These players possessed exceptional athleticism, moving with incredible agility and expertly dodging the ball’s trajectory.
Bachira playfully tried to stir things up by grabbing Kunigami, hoping Isagi would kick the ball at him. But Kunigami threw Bachira aside, causing him to crash into Igaguri, leaving Igaguri struggling to move. At last, Isagi had a rare opportunity to shoot the ball at Igaguri.
Even though Isagi understood that achieving his dream meant crushing someone else’s, he refused to eliminate a low-ranked participant like Igaguri. To Isagi, his true target was the highest-ranked player in Room Z.
In that moment, Bachira became fascinated by Isagi’s extraordinary way of thinking. Without hesitation, Bachira snatched the ball from Isagi, automatically becoming the chaser. Deep down, Bachira had already set his sights on the top-ranked player, Kira Ryosuke, as his prey.
With only 10 seconds left, Bachira was relentless in his pursuit of Kira Ryosuke, determined to strike him with a powerful shot. However, Kira Ryosuke was an agile and skilled player, deftly evading Bachira’s attacks.
As time ticked away, Bachira didn’t give up. He made a bold decision and delivered a precise pass to Isagi, who was face-to-face with Kira Ryosuke. In an instant, Isagi unleashed a powerful kick, sending the ball crashing into Kira Ryosuke’s face.
