1. Kuon Lists Each Team Z Player’s Weapon

As the players of Team Z were organizing their formation to strengthen their team, Kuon, who was appointed as the team strategist, began gathering data on each player’s individual skill or “weapon.”

Here is the list of Team Z players’ weapons: Raichi possesses a powerful kick, Naruhaya specializes in sneaking through the backline, Gagamaru is known for his agility, Lemon is a versatile player who can play in multiple positions, Igaguri is fueled by his indomitable spirit, Kunigami has a powerful left-footed shot, Imamura relies on his speed and technique, Bachira excels in dribbling, and Kuon has exceptional jumping ability.

However, Isagi had yet to reveal his key strength to Kuon. He was still grappling with himself, unsure of what he could truly offer. Kuon told Isagi to share his weapon once he figured it out. Deep down, Isagi felt that he didn’t possess any standout individual skills worth boasting about. Meanwhile, Chigiri chose not to disclose his weapon to Team Z, and the team accepted his decision.

2. The “My Turn to Be Striker” Strategy

Kuon devised a method to utilize the striker weapons possessed by Team Z players, ensuring that the players wouldn’t act selfishly and could work together by leveraging their individual strengths. He called this strategy “My Turn to Be Striker.”

Kuon implemented an ultra-offensive scheme that capitalized on each player’s individual skills. Each player would take turns being the striker, while the rest would support the playstyle that complemented the striker’s strengths. Kuon established a rule where every 10 minutes, the Team Z players would rotate positions clockwise to the nearest teammate’s position. All players would take turns being the striker, except for Lemon, who remained the goalkeeper, and Chigiri, who stayed as a defender.

On the field, Team Z players practiced understanding and supporting the weapon of the player who was assigned as the striker. With the looming threat that losing could end their soccer careers, Team Z finally began to unite as a team.

3. Isagi Yoichi Asks Kunigami Why He Plays Soccer

While Isagi Yoichi was enjoying his dinner in the Blue Lock cafeteria, he experienced a crisis of confidence, feeling that he didn’t have a key weapon in his soccer skill set. Suddenly, Kunigami approached Isagi and thanked him, appreciating the assist that allowed him to score a goal.

Isagi then asked Kunigami why he played soccer. He admitted that he admired Kunigami, who had a powerful kick and a strong physique. Kunigami responded that he wanted to be a superhero on the soccer field because, as a child, he never admired sentai heroes, robots, or pirates. Kunigami’s idols were strikers on the green field who scored goals to win matches.

To Kunigami, soccer players weren’t fictional characters but real-life superheroes who made him excited and gave him courage. He didn’t care if others thought it was silly or laughed at him—he would never feel ashamed. Kunigami’s life motto was that to achieve his dream, he would face the world head-on with fairness.
