Watch Blue Lock Episode 07 Season 1
1. Wanima Brothers Taunt Isagi Yoichi’s Dribbling
Bachira passed the ball to Isagi to keep the play going. Isagi dribbled with fierce determination to equalize the score with Team W, but the Wanima brothers shadowed his every move. Keisuke informed Isagi that Kuon had leaked all the weapons, tactics, and individual information of Team Z to Team W.
The Wanima brothers knew that Isagi possessed incredible Spatial Awareness. However, when Isagi dribbled on his own, he was nothing more than a fool who couldn’t do much due to his lack of individual skill in one-on-one situations.
Kuon then approached Isagi and told him to give up, saying that soccer was an 11-on-11 sport, and with the situation now 12 against 10, Team Z had no chance of winning. Kuon easily stole the ball from Isagi.
2. Lemon Saves Team Z’s Goal
Kuon supported the Wanima brothers as they executed their one-two passing combination, making it difficult for Team Z players to intercept the ball. The duo effortlessly broke through Team Z’s defense, and Junichi ended up facing Lemon, Team Z’s goalkeeper, one-on-one. Junichi took a shot, but Lemon managed to deflect it.
Lemon then reminded Team Z that avoiding defeat was the most important thing at that moment, and scoring one goal to equalize was enough. He urged his teammates to secure the equalizer, emphasizing that if they could hold Team W to a draw, they still had hope in their final match against Team V. With unwavering resolve, Lemon promised to guard the goal with everything he had, even if it meant risking his life.
As Chigiri sprinted to chase the ball, Keisuke overtook him and stole it, mocking Chigiri for being slow. Keisuke taunted Chigiri, saying that Team W would end his soccer career and told him to stay silent and watch.
3. Chigiri Hyoma’s Past
Chigiri then recalled his past when he first joined the soccer team at Rajitsu Middle School. Back then, the Wanima brothers informed the new members that Rajitsu frequently competed in national tournaments and that they were the best players on the team. Keisuke, acting as the voice for his mute brother Junichi, emphasized that the new players should respect their seniors—the Wanima brothers.
With confidence, Chigiri stated that he wanted to win the championship under his own name and aimed to break the tradition of seniority. He then made a bet with the Wanima brothers: if he could dribble past them without losing the ball, he would win the bet. In the end, with his extraordinary speed, Chigiri successfully outpaced them, leaving the Wanima brothers impressed.
Even the Rajitsu Middle School soccer coach relied on Chigiri as their lone striker due to his remarkable speed. The coach was confident that with Chigiri on the team, Rajitsu had a significant chance of winning the national tournament.
After practice, the Wanima brothers confronted Chigiri and reminded him not to get too arrogant just because he was new and already favored by the coach. However, Chigiri believed that talent wasn’t distributed equally and that he was chosen for greatness.
Since the age of six, Chigiri had outperformed other players and viewed soccer as his everything. As he grew older, his running speed became even more astonishing, making it hard for opponents to catch up, and his precision shots allowed him to score frequently. Even the Wanima brothers were amazed by Chigiri’s abilities. His exceptional talent was always highlighted in the local newspaper every week.
Chigiri was convinced that his extraordinary ability to outpace opponents with his speed was a gift only he possessed. He believed that one day he would become the world’s best striker and looked forward to a bright future.
However, tragedy struck when he twisted his leg while sprinting during a match. According to the doctor’s diagnosis, Chigiri had torn the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. His leg muscles had developed uniquely, enabling him to run at incredible speeds, but the doctor warned that if the ligament tore again, his soccer career would be over.
Chigiri was forced to walk with two crutches, while the Wanima brothers mocked him, saying that he was worthless without his speed. After undergoing rehabilitation, Chigiri rejoined the Rajitsu Middle School soccer team. Keisuke mocked Chigiri again, noting that his running had become slower, realizing that Chigiri was afraid to run at full speed, fearing his ligament would tear again.
However, deep down, Chigiri wasn’t afraid of his right leg becoming crippled—he was afraid of losing his identity. From that moment on, Chigiri felt as though his legs were shackled by chains of iron.
