7. Master Yamaji’s Coup d’État

Meanwhile, the organization’s Elder was shown lying in bed, gravely ill. Shortly after, the Elder passed away, and the cremation ceremony was attended by all Ninjas and Master Yamaji. After the Elder’s death, Master Yamaji seized control of the organization and announced that it would break away from Japanese law. Yamaji declared that the organization would come under the command of a higher authority. He even threatened to exile or eliminate any members who opposed his decision.

Although Mamat opposed Yamaji’s greed-driven decision, he stopped Jamal and Atun from attacking Yamaji. As a result, Jamal and Atun suddenly froze mid-air, caught in Yamaji’s shadow control Jutsu. Yamaji then beheaded both of them with a single swing of his sword. Some members of the organization attempted to resist, but the foreign Ninjas quickly suppressed them.

8. The Rogue Ninjas & Holographic Face Disguise

Mamat held a meeting with several Ninjas. Mamat acknowledged that if they all worked together, they might stand a chance at defeating Master Yamaji. However, Mamat forbade the idea, as he believed that even if they succeeded in defeating Yamaji, they would all end up dead. Consequently, the ancient Ninja ideology passed down for generations would be lost forever. Therefore, Mamat suggested they leave the organization and become Rogue Ninjas, passing down their Ninja beliefs to future generations.

Later, Marry approached Mamat to show him a face-altering holographic device she had long used. Marry explained that she had been using the face-changing device for quite some time. She assured Mamat that this device would help him and the others escape the organization without being detected. Mamat expressed his gratitude for the face disguise hologram and wished for the safe birth of Marry’s baby.

9. Emma and Marry’s Duel

Emma trailed behind Marry, who was walking alone down a quiet street. Emma revealed her purpose to Marry, explaining that she had received a secret mission from the late Elder to assess whether any of the candidates for the organization’s leadership were worthy of becoming the leader. If deemed unworthy, Emma was ordered to eliminate them. Emma apologized for her deception but was shocked when Marry admitted that she had known about Emma’s mission since their first meeting.

Emma then pleaded with Marry to terminate her pregnancy so that she could return to living as a Shinobi. However, Marry prepared to challenge Emma in battle. The two crossed swords until Emma managed to land a small cut on Marry’s cheek. Marry was stunned by Emma’s impressive swordsmanship, which she had kept hidden all along. Emma then told Marry that deceit and trickery were essential skills she had mastered as a spy.

Next, Emma and Marry prepared to deliver their ultimate sword strikes. Marry’s sword was flung aside, while Emma’s blade was poised to strike Marry’s neck. Yet, Emma admitted that Marry could have won if she hadn’t made a move to protect her baby.

Emma confessed that she was confused about her life—she wanted to live as a Shinobi, but the organization had changed. On the other hand, she felt ashamed of the idea of becoming a rogue Ninja. Ultimately, Emma decided to perform harakiri, but Marry managed to stop her.

Marry then answered the question Emma had once asked her—why Ninjas were expected to suppress their emotions. Marry revealed that the baby she was carrying had given her a family and a purpose in life. She told Emma that emotions don’t kill Ninjas; instead, they give life meaning. Marry also confessed that she considered Emma her family and begged her to stay alive.

Emma burst into tears and obeyed Marry’s wishes. She admitted that she, too, saw Marry as family. Emma even confessed that she had forgotten her parents’ faces and that whenever she tried to recall them, all she could see was Marry’s face.
